When you are purchasing a loft condominium in Downtown, it is your responsibility to locate someone who will give you a loft condominium home loan. The first step is getting the "Pre-approval Letter." The pre-approval process is a quick process where a loan officer will do a debt to income ratio calculation. They will also ask you for proof of funds. This may involve providing payroll stubs, income tax records, and various financial records proving your financial merit. This process takes about 72 hours to complete from the time you turn in the completed application until you receive your "Pre-approval Letter."

1. A pre-approval letter is more reliable than a pre-qualification letter.
