SIP TEA Opens on Broadway and 9th Street

SIP TEA opened a few weeks ago on Broadway a few storefronts north of 9th Street on the East side of the street. I wandered in between appointments and felt immediately transported to a place where the owner cares about everything. The decor is simple and soothing. There are even little mats to sit on to make you more comfortable while enjoying your meal. The staff and Owner Laura Stewart were welcoming and knowledgeable. I was presented with a choice of about 40 different teas. Each cup is individually steeped which takes just a few moments longer than the pre-made variety most of us are used to, but it is so worth it. I tried the Green Tea with White Chocolate. It was unlike any other Green Tea I ever had. The White Chocolate added a hint of sweetness and a wonderful aroma. The cup was delivered at the perfect temperature, not too hot. For Dessert I had the Vegan Pomegranate "Cheesecake" which being Vegan didn't actually contain any dairy products. It is made with a base of Cashew Butter to which they added Pomegranate Juice and a little Coconut Oil. It was Spectacular - A mousse-like consistency and rich Pomegranate Flavor with a hint of Coconut. The bold Purple color of the dessert made it a feast for the eyes too! SIP TEA is located across the street from the Internationally Famous Eastern Columbia Lofts where the For Sale Lofts from the developer are all Sold with the exception of one.
